A couple things of note when sending things: on the form that you fill out at the post office, always just say that the contents are worth $3. Any more, and I pay customs on it. I've also been told that padded envelopes are cheaper to send. I don't know if it's true, but could be something to look at. In an attempt to keep the packages from being opened, you can draw religious things on the package. If they think it's to a religious group, they'll be less likely to steal from it.
Adam and I also had a brainstorm session on things that would be lovely beyond belief to have. If you feel so compelled, here are some ideas. We would also welcome anything you think would be fun or would put a smile on our faces. In no particular order:
Crown royal bags (they’re fantastic for storage purposes), parmesan cheese (the stuff the doesn’t need to be refrigerated until opened), tea, beef jerky, goldfish, triscuits, cheezits, wheat thins, super glue, Qtips, easy mac, juice packets, toothpicks, tictacs, hand sanitizer, Cheetos, dried veggies, chex mix, trail mix, nuts (cashews, almonds, peanuts, macadamias; roasted, salted, honey roasted, smoked, anything), hot chocolate packets
Candy: sourpatch kids, Swedish fish, skittles, starburst, gobstoppers, nerds, runts, dots, redvines, sweet tarts, twix, snickers, butterfingers, milky way, three musketeers, Carmelo, Peach-O’s, Lemonheads, sour worms, gummy bears, chocolate covered pretzels, oreos, any chocolate
NB: if you find it in any snack aisle, we want it!
